All Recipes: Shahi Paneer is a popular North Indian dish made by cooking paneer (Indian cheese) in thick and creamy tomato sauce Gravy. It’s a delicious and indulgent vegetarian dish that’s perfect for special occasions.
Material:
- 250 grams paneer, in cubes
- 2 tbsp ghee or oil
- 1 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 cup tomato puree (from fresh or canned tomatoes)
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 cup fresh cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder (as per taste)
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- salt to taste
- 1/4 cup cashew nuts, soak in hot water and make a paste
- 2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, chopped, for garnish
Instruction:
- Heat ghee or oil in a pan or pan on medium flame.
- Add finely chopped onion to it and fry until it turns golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and fry for a few minutes until the raw aroma disappears.
- Mix tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala and salt. – Cook the mixture until oil comes out
Tomato gravy starts separating. - Lower the flame and add cashew paste. Mix well and cook for a few minutes until the gravy thickens.
- Add fresh cream and milk. Stir continuously and cook on low flame for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Well combined. - Now, add shredded cheese to the sauce. Stir gently to coat the cheese with the creamy tomatoes.
Gravy. - Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until cheese is completely heated through.
- Garnish with chopped fresh coriander leaves.
